Andrew Boostrom
TROMBONE
A dynamic and versatile musician, Andrew Boostrom has made a name for himself with his exceptional trombone playing as well as his occasional smooth vocal stylings. Though a more recent transplant to the greater Philadelphia area, his impressive career spans the worlds of jazz, pop, and live entertainment.
Andrew earned his Bachelor of Arts in Jazz & Jazz Studies from the University of Illinois in 2009. After graduation, he took his talents to the high seas, performing on various cruise lines before landing a coveted spot as a trombonist with the Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus. From 2011 to 2014, he performed with the circus, playing over 400 shows annually.
His journey then led him to Las Vegas, where his first job there as a full-time musician was as part of a 30-piece orchestra backing legendary singing impressionist Bob Anderson in a lavish tribute to Frank Sinatra. Andrew’s time in Vegas also saw him sharing the stage with music icons such as Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, Aerosmith, Boyz II Men, Amy Grant, Wayne Newton, and Santa Fe and the Fat City Horns.
After relocating to New Jersey, Andrew joined the FM Band. His stint with the band saw him working closely with guitarist Mike Ian and singer Kyle Maack. When the concept for Minute By Minute emerged, Kyle and Mike immediately thought of Andrew for the trombone role. His contributions have been invaluable, helping to shape what is now considered one of the most dynamic horn sections in the area.
With a career that bridges genres and showcases his deep musicality, Andrew Boostrom continues to be a sought-after performer, bringing energy and excellence to every stage he plays.
