Justice Norwood is a tenor vocalist for Minute by Minute, bringing his wide range and smooth tone to the stage. Growing up in Moorestown, New Jersey, he discovered his love for music early on. In high school, he connected with Ihsan Covert El, now the band’s keyboardist, and the two formed a lasting musical bond. In 2010, they attended an outdoor concert where their friend was performing with Kyle Maack’s band. Ihsan and Justice took note of Kyle’s drummer and initially wanted him for their own group—but instead of “stealing” a bandmate, Justice, Ihsan, and Kyle decided to start something brand new together. That choice sparked a creative partnership that continued on and off for years. At the time, Justice was primarily a bass player, not yet aware of the powerful tenor voice he would later develop.

It wasn’t until college that Justice began to explore singing, quickly uncovering a natural gift and remarkable range. In 2017, Kyle—who had just been signed by Otis Williams of The Temptations—invited Justice to sing with him. Justice joined Kyle’s band which featured Alvin Burnett on drums and Ihsan as musical director, performing at the Temptations’ “All the Time” album release party in 2018. During his solo artist years, Justice poured himself into recording original music while also spending countless nights performing those songs live in nightclubs and lounges throughout the greater Philadelphia area. A few years later, he went on to join local bands Groove Heart and Will Power, further sharpening his skills and expanding his reputation as a versatile performer.

In 2025, when Minute by Minute needed a new tenor vocalist, Kyle and Alvin reached out to Justice. His ability to blend seamlessly with his fellow vocalists has added a new depth to the group’s harmonies, while his unique tone and wide vocal range bring a fresh energy to the show. Justice’s journey from instrumentalist to standout tenor has made him an invaluable part of the cast, and audiences can look forward to even more from him as the show continues to grow
